LEAD CONCEPT ARTIST

Do you have visions of amazing creatures and unusual environments?   Would you love to see them come to life the Virtual World? We are looking for a strong lead concept artist to join the Phaser Lock Interactive. You will work directly with the Art Director to communicate the artistic vision of our game through conceptual illustration, as well as support the prop and environment teams with production concept sketches throughout completion of the title. The focus here is on design and ideation, not just digital painting, or illustration. 
The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for strong Creature and Environmental design and illustration, including a strong handle on lighting, and color. They will also possess an ability to execute at a high level of craftsmanship in rendering and clear, explanatory production art for modelers. 


The Lead Concept Artist is responsible for creating original and imaginative concept art for characters, environments, and other game assets. A successful candidate is expected to present a clear and comprehensive process of research and exploration that supports their final art and have a strong understanding of efficient ideation techniques. The ability to work both independently and in cooperation with Leads and other Artists to complete assignments and a demonstration of strong artistic interpretation skills is also required.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help generate inspirational concept and prototype art to pitch game scenarios.

  • Define and uphold art principles to ensure the artistic direction of the game is cohesive, inspiring, and with distinct style.

  • Work side-by-side with all directors and leads to take a multi-discipline approach to creativity and problem-solving.

 
 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 8 years of professional game development experience.

  • Solid concept portfolio, exemplifying strong design skills.

  • High level of vision and creativity, and ability to perform to standard under tight deadlines.

  • Ability to grasp and adhere to guidelines while still pushing innovation.

  • Driven, focused, and professional.

  • Excellent eye for color, composition, and overall design skills (e.g. Design, layout and typography)

  • Awareness of current trends in visual communication and how best to adapt those trends into an interactive game experience

  • Thorough understanding of core illustration principles, perspective, layout, color and lighting.

Senior Technical Artist

秋霞在线观看秋Phaser Lock Interactive is seeking a creative and solution-oriented Technical Artist to join our team on a full time basis.  The technical artist position is an important bridge between our Art and Engineering teams. This role will be responsible for evaluating, creating, and deploying solutions for asset management that result in an efficient art development pipeline.  On a routine basis this person is expected to be researching new tools and processes, uncovering and troubleshooting problems, and partnering with production to streamline art integration processes.
